I just wanted to thank the crew who came to visit me at Happy Acres Campground. The crowd was warm and wonderful. All my girlfriends, the locals and also quite a few campers came down to the bar to watch the show. Everyone was hootin’ and scootin’ and enjoying their favorite libation. I have to say a good time was had by all!

Wow! The summer is flying by. I feel like I haven’t had time to enjoy it. About a month ago I realized my boat (The Leisure Lou) was in need of (what I thought was minor) repair. After I had the opportunity to evaluate the situation the condition went from my bilge pump working well to my boat is sinking. I built her around 18 years ago so it is no wonder. She had been in dry dock for about a month and I am happy to say she looks and runs great! I’ll be giving boat rides to all my friends whenever the spirit moves them. It is always great fun in the “no wake zone”! I’m trying to find someone with a pontoon boat big enough to set up my gear so we can ROCK THE RIVER. I have the generator….I just need the float. 10 x 10 should do it. Ta Ta for now!

Looks like I’ve got a busy summer ahead of me. Haywoods on the Green & Haywoods On The Water turned out to be a huge success. My outdoor venues are always one of my favorites. Seems like every time I turn around at the end of the night people are doing a conga line. Had a blast at the Kast Hotel with Justin and at the James with Roger. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out you should. Lots of fun and great food and people. Private parties are cropping up like crazy and I hope to see all my friends throughout the summer. I’ll have the Leisure Lou back in the water soon and I am toying with the idea of playing on a dock in the no wake zone for those crazies!

Well, I’m sorry I havn’t posted anything in quite a while. Jon’s been keeping me very busy and I’ve been enjoying it. I have my eye on some new tunes and should be working them up shortly. I did pick up another Stevie Wonder. I’ve had a ball playing at a lot of new clubs (St Francis, Mt Tavern, VFW to name a few). I’m looking forward to  the Duboistown VFW and the Kast Hotel this weekend. My first time at the Kast…should be a blast. Just got confirmation for an outdoor job at the exciting new club Haywoods on the Water. We’re doing the Grand Opening May 28th for Memorial day weekend. Maybe I’ll drive my boat to the Gig!

Lookin forward to a great Mardi Gras week in Williamsport. Got Thursday at Franco’s, which I’ve been anticipating for weeks now. Can’t wait to hang with my good friends Freddie & Maria. Friday I’m back at the Valley and Saturday I get to visit my friends at the DuBoistown VFW. Big week …anticipating lots of fun…I’ll have lots of beads!

We had a great crowd and a great time. Connie Barger’s party was next door and they all came over afterwards. We had a good crowd prior to that and I’ll be back soon.

Well, by now the folks from the VFW are in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Hope they are having umbrella drinks and fine cigars. Wish I was there with them…probably next year. The send off was great, we had a fun night as usual. I really like the crew there and always have fun when I play there.

The party at the Holiday Inn was a huge success. The room was decked out to the hilt. Rogers food was outstanding. There were smiling faces and everybody was raving about the food before I even picked up a drumstick. This was probably one of the best New Years Parties I have ever played. My brother Joe and my brother-in-law Ed Fry sat in on the second half of the second set. Sounded great and a lot of fun. Can’t wait to do something with the folks at the Holiday Inn again. PICTURES

The Christmas party for the volunteers at the VFW was a blast. I got to play a few Christmas carols and everyone seemed to enjoy them. After the holiday smoke cleared we got down to hootin & scootin. These folks look great and know how to have fun. Wish I could join you all in Punta Cana….Have fun!
